Whether it be working, blogging, studying or failing at having a social life, it’s safe to say that I should really be focusing on finding time to relax… Of course, anyone who knows me knows that when I find time to relax, I find something else to do instead.
Hence… this.

As of today (fifteen minutes ago from posting this to be exact), I have signed up to NaNoWriMo after watching many writers on YouTube vlog about it.

What is NaNoWriMo, you may ask? Well, let me tell you…

NaNoWriMo stands for “National Novel Writing Month” and the website can be found by clicking HERE.

The website is a non-profit site in which both published authors and aspiring writers alike can sign up to participate in the ultimate kick-start writing experience. From the 1st of November, for the entire month, participants work towards a goal of writing a 50,000-word novel…

Sound like the motivation you need to begin writing that book you wish to publish? Then why not sign up?

As for me, I will be using the current novel (of which I will share more of… one day) which I am writing and hoping that NaNoWriMo will help me to get at least the first draft complete!

Have you participated in NaNoWriMo before? Will you be this year?
Let me know and feel free to share your experiences or tips in the comments below.

  1. Welcome to NaNoWriMo! I’ve been doing it for the past few years and it’s a great way to actually finish a draft if you’re bad at it like me. My advice would be to write a little every day and don’t worry about being perfect or editing too much. Just focus on getting the words out and you can go back and polish it after November. My name on the NaNoWriMo website is VanillaCoke if you want to be writing buddies 🙂

    • Hi Rebecca,

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment on my blog post, it was very much appreciated!
Also can I say thank you for the great advise and I will definitely take that on board when November finally comes around. My own name on the NaNoWriMo website is… well, FandomxFanatic (just so you know who to look out for and I’ll request to be your writing buddy now!)

      Kind Regards,
      Stace 🙂
